Testimonies

Pastor Peter Mwangi

I must testify; I happened to be invited in a training for children’s workers by Pst Daniel Musyoka of Redeemed Gospel Church Korompoi. The training is done by MWAB(Msingi Wa Ahadi Bora) in conjunction with PETRA FOUNDATION. The present facilitators Being Wanjiku, Caroline1, Caroline 2, Dan and Ann. On the second day of the detailed, quite impactful, life changing and humbling training, during morning devotion there was this scripture played by example/illustration by Caroline1, from Mathew 18:1-4. We read severally, then she gave a story of how it used to be in the old bible days, Standing on a seat, she said that it was the High priest who used to talk to God and God would answer Him; standing on the ground she exemplified that was the priest, who would talk to the high priest who would talk to God and God would answer him and he would answer the priest; Sitting on a chair she illustrated a husband who would talk to the priest, the priest would talk to High priest, high priest would talk to God, then God answered high priest who answered priest who answered husband; sitting on floor she illustrated a wife who would talk to the husband who would talk to priest, who would talk to High priest who would talk to God, then God would answer the high priest who would answer the priest who answered the husband who answered the wife; kneeling and bowed to the floor she illustrated a servant who would talk to the wife, who would talk to the husband who would talk to the priest, Who would talk to the high priest who would talk to God, and God would answer through the high priest who would answer the priest who would answer the husband who would answer the wife, who would answer the servant; the most humbling position, which pierced my heart that I couldn't hold tears, was when she lay by stomach, prostrated on floor to illustrate the position of a child and repeatedly hitting on the ground said verse 4 of the scripture,...if we do not humble like one of this little children, we shall not enter the kingdom. This made me know I haven't known what humility is. I cried to God in desire to know how to humble and am also in tears as I write this testimony. The evidence of the Presence and work of the Holy Spirit is so evident through this training. I can't thank God and the facilitators enough. May God see and bless

Training in SONGEA

Participants came from different churches and denominations, showing unity and shared passion for childrenn's ministry. We had 5 pastors in attendance, one being the chair of the pastors' Fellowship in Mageuzi, Songea. Their presence and engagement encouraged us, knowing we are sowing into fertile ground leaders who can influence many. The participants received Petra training with open hearts and great appreciation. They showed a willingness to sacrifice for more trainings in future. Their hospitality, humility, and commitment were truly inspiring.

Foundations 1

Training exceeds all the trainings we have had. Our teachers were good. We enjoyed playing with children and this resulted to building relationship. The devotions were impactful. I am a pastor, of course I know stories but something important I have been missing out is telling the stories using elements and techniques. Thanks, MSINGI. I learnt something crucial that building relationship is the key.

Foundations 2

We learnt so many things in foundation two, first our hearts were dealt with, the devotions inspired by the Holy Ghost really was a heart-to-heart moment with God. Our lives were transformed. This gave us a platform to share a lot. All the lessons were incredibly good. We learnt also to listen to one another in the training, likewise children need to be listened to. Also learning other ways of Leading a child to Christ was good using wordless book. Telling a story focusing on emotions and truth... I QUOTE their words[pastor Naomi]...’I came to understand that I must know scriptures, study and prepare a lesson well for my children.’ [Carol]...’this is because I learnt that in a story there are many truths ,so I need to choose one, the major one, also how to ask prompting questions that are relevant.’ Overall, the whole thing was good. Looking forward to having more trainings with Msingi.
