I thank God Almighty for granting me the opportunity to be able to attend the mentorship program in Eldoret. I can attest it has been a week of ‘excavation.’ The able team of mentors has been able to make me realize the hidden potential/ability in me and not only to boast about them but rather realize the weak points I have, work on them, be a team player and help others(children) to know God. Thank you Msingi Wa Ahadi Bora. God bless all who stand with you.
I must testify;
I happened to be invited in a training for children’s workers by Pst Daniel Musyoka of Redeemed Gospel Church Korompoi. The training is done by MWAB(Msingi Wa Ahadi Bora) in conjunction with PETRA FOUNDATION. The present facilitators Being Wanjiku, Caroline1, Caroline 2, Dan and Ann.

Since the beginning of this mentorship course, I have been able to understand some basic things about myself that I never knew. For example: My strengths and weaknesses, How to use my strength to fulfil my mission, How to budget and spend the little I have to build God’s mission, How to plan trainings as a facilitator.
I didn’t expect much, but at the end I have learnt that it was more than a training. I will never be the same again because so much has been taught that I never knew. The most interesting topic for me was Storytelling. Now I have confidence and courage to include and apply almost all techniques of storytelling. It’s not just a matter of standing and reading a story to kids – it’s much more. My trainers have impacted me and I am going to put more effort, sacrificing my time in helping children. I need to learn more. God bless you so much.
My favourite topic was Relationship and Bonding. I came to understand that without having a good relationship with a child, then understanding the child will be so difficult. The training has opened my eyes, thus making my work easier because of the knowledge and skill that I have gained. I am going to put into practice and implement all that I have learnt in the trainings.
We thank God for two impactful weeks of ministry and training in Tanzania. It was a great priviledge to walk alongside child workers (CWs) and pastors who are passionate about raising a godly generation.
What Petra is giving us is more than a PhD. We've done masters and PhDs in Theology, but this is something different. We are truly impacted for children's ministry in our churches.
